Brent Morse

Managing Director

Brent has worked with high-net-worth investors and their families for more than 20 years. He serves as Managing Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Morse Capital Partners.

Brent holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Analyst, one of the world’s most respected and recognized investment designations for high-level, specialized asset management responsibilities, including security analysis, portfolio management and business reporting.

Prior to establishing Morse Capital Partners, Brent was a partner at Cary Street Partners, a regional wealth advisory and investment banking firm. As Head of Capital Markets Research, he was responsible for manager due diligence of all asset types, hedge funds and private equity, as well as asset allocation strategy for the firm. He also worked directly with clients to develop custom-designed financial, tax and estate planning strategies to ensure that the most tax-efficient transfer and accumulation of wealth was realized and remained with the family.

Earlier in his career, Brent worked in Ernst & Young’s Personal Financial Counseling practice, helping investors work through the financial and tax implications of their company retirement and compensation plans. His areas of expertise included company stock and option strategies, insurance analysis, cash flow planning and estate plan modeling.

Brent began his career at Scott & Stringfellow, a regional brokerage firm headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, where he focused on investment management and research. He is a graduate of San Diego State University.

Active in the community, Brent served as chairman of the local Meals on Wheels chapter in Richmond, Virginia, and served on the board of TeamUp Richmond. He currently serves on the board of the CFA Society Virginia.

Originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brent lives in Richmond with his wife, Rana, and children, Tyler, Clayton, Matthew and James. Brent is a member of Hope Church in Richmond.
